The cable car journey begins in Stechelberg, a picturesque village nestled at the base of the Schwarzmönch mountain in the Bernese Alps. Currently being reconstructed as part of the Schilthornbahn 20XX project, the valley station will offer modernized facilities and services.

Situated at the end of Lauterbrunnen Valley, Gimmelwald is the initial stop on the route to Schilthorn summit. Accessible only by cable car or hiking, the charming car-free village boasts flower-adorned chalets, cheese storehouses, and grazing cattle.

Perched on a sunny terrace above Lauterbrunnen Valley, Mürren is an idyllic car-free Alpine village and is considered the home of Alpine skiing. With stunning views of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau peaks, the village offers a serene escape into nature.

A stunning local mountain offering unparalleled views of the Alps, Allmendhubel is the starting point for numerous hikes. Visitors can sit on a wooden lounger and enjoy the view as children play in the Flower Park adventure playground. They can also unwind at the Allmendhubel Panorama Restaurant.

Situated at 2677 meters above sea level and 1000 meters above Mürren, Birg is the perfect mid-station for the cable car journey. With its Skyline Thrill, Birg offers breathtaking views and is an ideal starting point for hikes or skiing for all levels.

At 2,970 meters above sea level, the final stop, the Schilthorn summit, offers breathtaking 360-degree views of over 200 alpine peaks. From the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau to the Swiss central plateau and the Jura mountains, visitors can see as far as the Black Forest in Germany and the Mont Blanc massif in France.

The Schilthorn is part of the Jungfrau Ski Region and offers a unique and breathtaking skiing experience for both beginners and advanced skiers. With its high altitude, skiers can enjoy panoramic views of the Swiss Alps, including the famous Eiger mountain, while shredding down the slopes. In addition, Schilthorn offers a ski school, as well as ski rental facilities.

The Skyline Walk on Schilthorn is a scenic walking trail that offers panoramic views of the Swiss Alps. It is located in the Swiss canton of Bern, near the village of Mürren, and is accessible by cable car from Stechelberg. The Skyline Walk is approximately 2 kilometers long and takes about 1 hour to complete. It features several viewing platforms and is a popular destination for hikers and nature lovers.

The Thrill Walk is located at the opposite end of the Skyline Walk. The walk features a steel structure that clings to the rock and provides breathtaking views, with features such as a crawl-through tunnel, glass-bottomed floor, ropes, and cattle grids that add to the thrill of the adventure. The walk ends below the cable car station, giving visitors a different perspective of the surrounding landscape.

The Walk of Fame at the Schilthorn summit pays homage to the cast and crew members of the James Bond movie On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Fifteen information panels featuring photos, signatures, steel handprints, and personal messages can be found along the ridge. Among those honored are George Lazenby, Bernhard Russi, Willy Bogner, and Catherine Shell.

The Schilthorn summit served as the filming location for On Her Majesty's Secret Service, with the revolving summit restaurant doubling as James Bond's arch-nemesis Blofeld's headquarters, called "Piz Gloria". Visitors can explore Spy World, an interactive exhibition featuring 7 key scenes from the movie, original screenplay, and Bond-related attractions like a bobsleigh ride or helicopter simulator flight. The integrated Cinema screens the James Bond classic and aerial footage of the mountain world on a 12-meter curved screen.
